We are helping to help raise £100,000 to get good food to NHS staff on the front line in Wales.
All NHS staff from the front line to the support workers are already working long shifts and these hours will only get longer and harder as the crisis worsens. With cafes and eateries all shut there is a real need to get healthy food to the hospitals. Good food fills more than bellies!
We have joined the team behind Môr restaurant in Mumbles who are spearheading a campaign to get hundreds of meals a day into Welsh hospitals for critical care staff, starting in Swansea and expanding across Wales in parallel with the FeedNHS campaign in England, which is being led by Leon in London.
The aim is that everyone will get one meal a day. We have joined this initiative in partnership with Swansea Bay NHS Trust and we have brought it to Nevill Hall, Abergavenny and Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil. The Angel Hotel, The Art Shop & Chapel and The Walnut Tree will be alternating amongst each business per day to feed the hospitals Front Line Workers. We are feeding 120 meals per evening at Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny and 30 meals per evening at Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil.
This is a not for profit movement to provide something small for those who give so much. We are not making any money out of this initiative and any profits that are generated will go back into supporting NHS Wales, so please give generously to help #FEEDTHENHSWALES.
If you are a business that wants to participate, or a hospital trust that wants support please email firstname.lastname@example.org If you have any further questions in regards to The Angel Hotel, The Art Shop & Chapel or The Walnut Tree, please email email@example.com
