Festive Dining

From Friday 26th November

Ideal for small groups of friends, families or colleagues.

The beautifully furnished Oak Room is an enchanting setting for
entertaining over the festive period.

We offer a three-course Festive Angel Menu in the weeks leading up to Christmas, at lunchtime from 12noon to 2.30pm and in the evening from 6.00 to 9.00pm. Tables are available for up to six guests.


Celeriac, apple and chestnut soup
Gin and orange cured salmon, avocado and pickled cucumber
Ham hock and chicken terrine, piccalilli, toasted sourdough


Confit shoulder of lamb, garlic mash, buttered winter greens
Roast breast of Usk Vale turkey, Anna potato,
pigs in blankets, creamed sprouts
Fillet of cod, braised cannellini beans, mussels and clams


Angel Christmas pudding, Cognac sauce
Crème brûlée, fig, orange and cranberry
Gorgonzola and Pecorino, oat biscuit, grapes

For groups of 10 to 30 guests, depending on government guidelines in the Cellar or Brecon Room, both rooms will feature beautiful bespoke hand-made decorations. 

This decadent seven-course menu features the finest produce and our in-house sommeliers have paired each course with a specially chosen wine from our award-winning wine list (at an additional charge, for the whole table only)

Seared tuna with a sesame seed crust, pickled ginger,
black pepper and soy dressing


Champagne risotto, shaved winter truffle


Chargrilled fillet of beef and braised short rib,
served with creamed mash potato, buttered kale, roast carrots and parsnips


Passion fruit sorbet


Baked chocolate pudding soufflé, banoffee ice cream


Angel-blend coffee or tea and petits fours


Optional cheese and port course:

Truffled Brillat-Savarin (French triple cream cow’s milk cheese filled with
summer truffles), grapes, oat biscuits and a glass of Cockburn’s Port
